Teenager Hollie Sturgeon will be remembered as a gregarious, fun-loving girl with a massive heart, her family have said.
The 18-year-old, from Heckington, died in a road accident on January 30, 2010.
Her mother, Alison, said: "Hollie was adored by everyone. She was a really beautiful girl and a social butterfly, who lit up a room when she walked in.
“She was doing her A-levels and planning to draw up her revision timetable in February for her exams in July.
“We didn’t get the outcome we wanted, but the hospital staff at Sheffield were absolutely amazing. They tried their hardest. They tried everything to save her life.”
Hollie was a pupil at Sleaford and Kesteven Girls School.
She was survived by her mum, her father Phil, sister Hannah, step-dad Glenn and half sister Daisy Sturgeon-Lowe.
